La contaminated tragedy, the challenge of the director Antonello De Rosa on stage with 30 interns and the actress Margherita Rago.
On stage on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 October in the halls of the Diocesan Museum, the tragedy by Sophocles directed and “contaminated” by the direction of Antonello De Rosa.
Thirty hours were needed by the director to work with his interns on the staging of one of the most significant Greek tragedies, Oedipus. Alongside De Rosa in this true theatrical training marathon, the actress Margherita Rago who will play the role of Jocasta.
Rosanna De Bonis Cristano Candurro, Mario Capone, Daniela Caturano, Francesco Criscuolo, Matteo Di Feo, Donatella Forte, Michele Giorgio Gaggia, Franca Guarino, Daniela Guercio, Caterina Ianni, Giuseppina Iovine, Camilla La Corte, Carmela Liguori, Maria Sabbetta, Maria Mazziotti, Grazie Mottola, Lia De Blasio, Renato Rescigno, Roberta Citro, Maria Russo, Viviana Tortora, are the interns who in these thirty days have studied Greek tragedy in depth, contaminating it with modernity and Campania culture.
A traveling show that will begin in the eighteenth-century cloister and will be divided into the rooms of the museum - each room will represent a chapter of the tragedy. The show will end with the suicide of Jocasta, always in the ancient cloister of the museum.
Spectators will relive in “symbiotic harmony” the cruelty and truth of a text that has spanned centuries and generations, embodying – through the direction of Antonello De Rosa – modernity.
