Yesterday morning, the officers of the Nola Police Station, during the territorial control service, following a report from the Operations Center, intervened in Via Romano in Scisciano following a report from a company that had located, thanks to the GPS system, a stolen moving car.
The operators, who arrived on site, did not find the reported car but noticed a person, with some cables to recharge the battery, who was trying to start a car in an area used as a warehouse where there were also two other men and some parked vehicles.
The police officers, therefore, checked them and found that the vehicle the man was trying to start was stolen and that it had license plates from another vehicle; furthermore, they verified that another car present in the depot had the wrong license plate and chassis number.
Again, the officers carried out a check in via Reviglione in Saviano at a car rental company managed by one of the three where they found the presence of two other cars, one with an altered chassis and the other with a mismatched license plate and chassis.
A 50-year-old from Scisciano, a 48-year-old from Somma Vesuviana and a 40-year-old from Sant'Anastasia, all with criminal records, were reported for receiving stolen goods, while the 40-year-old was also reported for money laundering and for violations of environmental regulations.
Finally, the rental car and the vehicles were seized.
