New initiative by the Vivoanapoli Association, a Social Promotion Association chaired by Emilia Leonetti, and the Guida alla Cultura Foundation – Third Sector Organization chaired by Diego Guida: Saturday 22 October at 10 am at the Pan Palazzo delle Arti (via dei Mille 60), in the Sala Roberto di Stefano, the first series of meetings Let's reread the classics will begin, entitled “L'indifferenza”, from an idea by Emilia Leonetti and Fabiana Cacciapuoti.
Four meetings with four great authors of literature: Giacomo Leopardi, Pierpaolo Pasolini, Alberto Moravia, Albert Camus. The aim of the initiative is to bring to attention the importance of reading the classics, which can help us discover our roots, our identity, to become aware of our reality.
“Reading has always been the main vehicle for understanding human nature. – stated Emilia Leonetti – of its defects and its limits, of its greatness and its miseries. For this reason it becomes important for the association Vivoanapoli Aps to organize meetings that have at their center immortal books on which to publicly compare”.
“The activity of promoting reading sees the Fondazione Guida alla Cultura – Ets involved all year round with events of different scope. After the festival of Philosophy and Campania books, this time a review that focuses on the pleasure of rereading the classics of literature which, as Calvino said, are “books that have never finished saying what they have to say”, stressed Diego Guida, president of the Guida alla Cultura Foundation. The first meeting is dedicated to 'Lo Zibaldone' by Giacomo Leopardi.
The event will be introduced by Diego Guida in his capacity as President of the Guida alla Cultura Foundation - Ets, and will be attended by scholar Fabiana Cacciapuoti, head of the Leopardi Fund at the National Library of Naples, author of several books on Giacomo Leopardi for Donzelli and Feltrinelli, in particular thematic editions of the Zibaldone, coordinated by Emilia Leonetti with Vivoanapoli.
The actress and director Lara Sansone was given the task of reading some pages of Leopardi's masterpiece.
