The ASL of Caserta slows down the 'do it yourself' swabs. The general director Blasotti: “We are receiving distorted data, those infected are not communicating with the ASL”
The general director of the ASL of Caserta, Amedeo Blasotti, has scheduled an operational meeting with the top management of the health company this morning because it is necessary “launch a massive awareness campaign, we must invite citizens to undergo swabs at ASL centers or pharmacies. Only in this way will we really know how Covid is moving. Enough of 'do it yourself', those infected must be traced”.
In recent days, infections have been slightly but steadily increasing and despite this, the director of the ASL underlines that "false and distorted data" are being recorded.

What is happening is in fact clear for all to see. In case of symptoms, people rely on a do-it-yourself swab, if positivity is ascertained, there is often no communication to the ASL, then they wait for negativity (hoping that everyone does this and not that they leave home knowing they are infected) and they go back to doing what they were doing before as if nothing had happened.
“Fortunately, there are only eight patients hospitalized at the Covid Hospital in Maddaloni, but this does not mean that we should lose control of the trend”, explains the director of the Caserta ASL Blasotti.
