Naples. A minor, but already an expert robber, was stopped last night by the Carabinieri. He was walking around armed in Piazza Cavour: he was about to rob two young girls.
In fact, this night in the Stella neighborhood the Carabinieri of the operational nucleus of the local company, while they were engaged in a service aimed at controlling the nightlife, reported at large a boy who recently turned 17 but already had a criminal record for robbery.
The military noticed the boy wandering around Piazza Cavour. He was riding a scooter and walking very slowly. They noticed him getting off the vehicle and approaching some girls who were walking in Vico Paglia Fiaschi. At that point the Carabinieri decided to intervene. The boy was stopped and searched and was found with the weapon at hand. The 17-year-old, who will be charged with carrying objects capable of causing offence, was handed over to his parents.
Local Police Checks in Naples, Fines and Seizures
In the first weekend of October, following administrative and hygiene police checks, which involved premises located throughout the city, the Naples Local Police inspected 33 public establishments and issued 45 fines.
Several businesses in the pedestrian area of Vomero, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and in the historic center were fined for illegal occupation of public land: in Via Mezzocannone, in Vico Giardinetto, in Vico Lungo Gelso, in Via De Marinis and in Vico San Giovanni Maggiore.
During the checks on these premises, several other irregularities were fined, including 7 violations of the regulations for the protection of rest and quiet, 3 establishments with luminous signs or solar awnings installed without authorization and 2 for the sale or serving of alcohol without a license.
The owner of another establishment was reported to the ASL for violating workplace safety regulations, having installed suspended lights in an irregular and dangerous manner. In terms of environmental controls, the Municipal Police fined citizens and some commercial activities in via Bernini, in vico Belladonna, in via Partenope, in via Filangieri, in piazza Trieste e Trento, in via Riviera di Chiaia and in the baretti area, all responsible for the irregular disposal of waste, the failure to separate waste and the use of black bags that are no longer permitted.

For the safety and prevention of Piazza Garibaldi – 3 self-propelled patrols with 9 operators were active, ensuring monitoring of the area until midnight. During the Napoli-Torino football match, 24 traffic violations were issued and 180 vehicles parked illegally in the areas surrounding the 'Maradona' Stadium were seized, 63 illegal parking attendants were fined and 5 street vendors of soft drinks were checked with seizure of their goods.
During the night of movida, the GIT Motociclisti Group reported an illegal parking attendant in via Achille Torelli and reported 70 vehicles for illegal parking in via Luigia Sanfelice and in via Bernini, with the removal of 54 of them. 46 drivers were stopped for checks, 4 of whom were driving a vehicle with a foreign license plate, and 13 were fined for various violations.
The usual checks by the Tourist Police Unit on drivers of non-scheduled public service vehicles were not lacking: 8 taxi drivers were fined between Capodichino and the maritime station due to failure to respect the shift schedule or failure to issue users with a receipt certifying the ride at a predetermined rate.
For not starting their activity from the garage, 2 NCC drivers were fined, while 2 other people were caught near the airport terminal carrying out this public service with cars registered for their own use and, therefore, without any authorization.
