Napoli. Yesterday afternoon the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Stations and Decumani, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, they intervened at the Piazza Cavour metro stop following a report of a person on board the train armed with a knife who was cursing users.
The operators, who arrived on site, noticed several frightened people shouting and pointing to a man armed with a knife standing between the exit of the carriage and the platform who was yelling at the conductor; the officers, not without difficulty and after a struggle, disarmed and blocked him, finding him in possession of another knife.
MW, a 35-year-old Sri Lankan with a police record and irregular on the national territory, was arrested for injuries, resistance to a public official, interruption of public service, private violence, aggravated threat, illegal carrying of weapons and carrying of weapons or objects capable of to offend.
