Napoli, Tap&Go and Metro ticket machines out of service. The disruptions to the Naples Metro continue with protests from commuters and tourists
“NO CARD, NO TRAIN”- this seems to be the motto, at least in the last few hours, of ANM regarding the Naples metro.
In fact, as reported by several users to the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli, in several stations of line 2 the Tap&Go system that allows access to services without a ticket but with the use of contactless cards or devices is not working.
“This is the Naples metro… a disgrace, the much-advertised tap&go, now used in the major Italian cities, is now like this in several stops with the city full of tourists.”– what a user reports.
In short, despite the new highly technological trains, the “dear” old problems persist. In addition to Tap&Go, it seems that in several stations, as users always report to Councilor Borrelli, it is impossible to use cards even for automatic ticket machines.
“We reported the problems to Anm at the Consorzio Unico Campania, requesting the restoration of the card payment system in a short time.”– declares Borrelli- "If there are new technologies that can improve public transport and offer benefits to users, they must always be accessible. Naples is full of tourists, we should avoid creating absurd inconveniences for them."
