Great success and thunderous applause for the concert of the now consolidated Neapolitan Lyric Trio, composed of internationally renowned artists, soprano Olga De Maio, tenors Luca Lupoli and Lucio Lupoli, accompanied on the piano by Maestro Francesco Schiattarella, performed on the occasion of the National Gathering of Friends of the Air Commissioner in Naples, held on Saturday 1 October by Lieutenant Giuseppe Strippoli.
Enthusiasm, emotion and poignancy were aroused by the salon romances, the Opera and Operetta duets, the great Neapolitan classics interpreted by the excellent artists of the Neapolitan area, with a program that touched on the most beautiful and immortal pages of the lyric vocal repertoire.
And so once again music becomes an instrument of union, communication and also a bearer of civil and moral values that are so neglected today.
The audience of the “Friends of the Air Commissioner” flocked to Naples in large numbers and with a warm heart for this celebratory occasion, in a splendid evening, organized by Lieutenant Giuseppe Strippoli, in which the great, beautiful music and the beautiful singing that the artists expressed at a high level of artistic and professional depth triumphed: from Non ti scordar di me, Parlami d'amore Mariù, Granada, the operetta with Lehár, the lyric opera with Verdi and Puccini, up to the immortal classics of Neapolitan song, Torna a Surriento, O'Paese d' ' o sole, Marechiaro, Voce 'e notte etc…
Final ovations given by the audience at the end of the concert to the artists with a splendid floral tribute from the organization to the soprano Olga De Maio.
We will surely return soon to applaud these artists, ambassadors of great music and bel canto who are part of the Noi per Napoli APS Cultural Association, for other upcoming concerts scheduled in Naples and in Italy, with their other magnificent interpretations.
