Naples. Two young men were caught in the Decumani on a scooter with a fake license plate and armed with a knife.
Last night, officers from the Decumani Police Station noticed two young men on a scooter in Via Nilo, without protective helmets and with their faces partially covered by a neck warmer, who attempted to evade control by speeding up.
The police caught up with them and stopped them in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore: the driver was in possession of a butterfly knife and they found that the two had affixed a counterfeit license plate to the motorbike.
The two, Neapolitans aged 19 and 18 with police records, were reported for material forgery committed by a private individual. In addition, the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle was reported for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending and fined for driving without a license, driving without a protective helmet and lack of insurance coverage while the passenger was fined for failure to use a protective helmet.
The scooter was seized by the police.
