Naples. Arrested by the police after attempting to rob a bar in Ponti Rossi and at the end of a chase, first on a motorbike, during which he crashed, and then on foot.
Last night, in fact, the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in via Nicola Nicolini for a report of an attempted theft against a bar.
The police officers, who arrived on the scene, saw a man who was trying to force the shutter of the commercial establishment and who, at the sight of them, quickly moved away on a moped.
A chase ensued during which the driver, in via Arenaccia, hit the traffic divider and fell to the ground and, despite the fall, attempted to continue his escape on foot but, in via Marchese Giuseppe Palmieri, he was caught and, not without difficulty, stopped; furthermore, the operators ascertained that the vehicle he was travelling in had been stolen last Friday.
