Bribes from a businessman to turn a blind eye to illegal work carried out: two local police officers from Naples and the businessman himself ended up under house arrest.
The military personnel of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples have executed an order for the application of the precautionary measure of house arrest issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples - Section II - crimes against the Public Administration, against two members of the Local Police of the Municipality of Naples - Building Protection Operational Unit and an entrepreneur, considered to be seriously suspected of the crimes of corruption, forgery of a public document and receiving stolen goods.
In particular, the entrepreneur allegedly paid a sum of money to one of the public officials to continue the illegal work he was carrying out. Subsequently, the public officials, in agreement with the private individual, falsely certified that no work was in progress.

And among other things, during a search the entrepreneur was allegedly found in possession of fuel cards, proceeds of theft to the detriment of the Ministry of Defense - Army Logistics Command.
The measure executed is a precautionary measure, ordered during the preliminary investigations and the investigation by the Guardia di Finanza continues to ascertain any other possible involvement.
