Last night the police officers from the police station Decumani, during the service to combat predatory crimes, while driving along Via Colombo in the direction of Piazza Mercato they noticed two people on board a scooter without protective helmets and with their faces partially covered by a neck warmer who, at the sight of them, attempted to evade the control by accelerating.
The police caught up with them and stopped them, finding the passenger in possession of a replica Glock model pistol, while the driver had a butterfly knife with a 12 cm long blade and 2 counterfeit banknotes.
An 18 year old Neapolitan was reported for carrying weapons or objects capable of causing offence, while a 16 year old, also from Naples, was reported for illegally carrying weapons and spending and introducing counterfeit money into the country without agreement.
Furthermore, the driver was charged with 2 violations of the Highway Code for driving without a license and failure to wear a protective helmet, while the passenger was charged with one violation of the Highway Code for failure to wear a protective helmet.
Finally, the motorcycle was placed under administrative seizure and the minor was entrusted to a family member.
