Anti-drug operation by the police in the historic center of Naples: an Algerian citizen with a criminal record arrested.
Yesterday evening the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station checked a man in via Poerio on the corner with corso Garibaldi, finding him in possession of 6 packages containing approximately 0,8 grams of cocaine, a mobile phone and 1645 euros.
Furthermore, the police carried out a check at his home in Vico Santa Maria a Cancello where they found 34 blocks of hashish for approximately 3,3 kg, 2 pieces of the same substance weighing approximately 12,3 grams, another 4 packages with approximately 2,6 grams of cocaine, a precision scale, 3 cell phones, 174 cartridges of various calibers, 3 pistols, one of which had no serial number, another machine gun and the third equipped with a silencer with 4 cartridges.
The man, a 56-year-old Algerian with a police record and an illegal presence on the national territory, was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and possession of clandestine weapons with related ammunition, as well as reported for illegal entry and residence in the territory of the State.
