NTorquato Tasso Award, first edition to Toni Servillo. Delivery on November 3rd in Sorrento
The first edition of the Torquato Tasso International Award will go to Toni Servillo. Promoted by the Municipality of Sorrento and organized by the Torquato Tasso Cultural Institute, the initiative will be held on November 3, at 20:XNUMX p.m., in the Ulisse room of the Hilton Sorrento Palace.
“This important project is finally coming to fruition – comments Luciano Russo, president of the Torquato Tasso Cultural Institute – We are happy that the recipient is a great protagonist of the theatrical and cinematographic life of our time like Toni Servillo”.
Servillo has received, over the course of his long career, many important awards including four David di Donatello for best leading actor, five Nastro d'Argento, two Globo d'oro, three Ciak d'oro and 2 European Film Awards.
“It is no coincidence that the prestigious American newspaper New York Times has included him among the 25 most important actors of the twenty-first century. – intervenes the mayor Coppola – It will therefore be an honour to award this prize to Toni Servillo which, we hope, can finally constitute the right tribute from his city to an immortal author like Torquato Tasso”.
