Peppe Servillo & Solis String Quartet in “Carosonamente” at the Sala dell'Ostrichina in Bacoli
Double musical event at the Sala dell'Ostrichina, a suggestive place that in the mid-800s was built for the cultivation of oysters and which is part of the prestigious Vanvitellian Compendium of Fusaro in the Royal Bourbon Site of Bacoli.
The concerts, promoted by Fondazione Campania Festival, Regione Campania – POC 14-20, Comune di Bacoli and Centro Ittico Campano are part of the program of Procida Italian Capital of Culture 2022. The events are organized by the companies AreaLive srl and Graf srl.
Peppe Servillo & Solis String Quartet and FLO will perform in concert on two unmissable occasions.
The first appointment (Friday 4 November event organized by AreaLive srl) is with the show “Carosonamente” where the famous Neapolitan string quartet merges with the frontman of Avion Travel to celebrate Renato Carosone. The songs of the “American from Naples” are revisited live by Peppe Servillo on vocals; Vincenzo Di Donna on violin; Luigi De Maio on violin, Gerardo Morrone on viola and Antonio Di Francia on cello and guitar. “Carosonamente” is also a recording project published last June by the AreaLive label.
The following day (Saturday 05 November event organized by Graf srl) the new muse of Neapolitan song will perform.
Floriana Cangiano – aka FLO – presents Canzoni di sale, a bewitching combination of music and words, songs and stories. Flo, with the attitude of a true singer-songwriter, takes us by the hand through the stories of a south bathed by the sea, mysterious and fascinating. Through the songs she has written in recent years, but also classics of the Neapolitan tradition and beyond, she tells us true stories, made of courage, irony and fatality.
During her artistic career, Flo has divided her time between music and theatre, sharing the stage with Stefano Bollani, Paolo Fresu, Daniele Sepe, Enrico Rava, Jorge Hernandez, Luca Aquino, Vincenzo Zitello, Elena Ledda, Paolo Angeli and Peppe Servillo.
In the theater she has been the protagonist of musical and prose shows, directed by directors such as Alfredo Arias, Mimmo Borrelli, Davide Iodice, Massimo Luconi, Claudio Mattone, Gino Landi and many others. She accompanies Daria Bignardi in the two shows “La coscienza dell'ansia” and “Libri che mi hanno rovinato la vita”.
