Poaching: Two Divers Reported in Ischia, Checks Also in Procida

Checks in Ischia and Procida: the Carabinieri reported two fishermen who were diving in the protected area.

The Carabinieri underwater unit of Naples together with those of the Ischia station have reported a 50-year-old and a 47-year-old from Naples for complicity in unauthorized underwater fishing activities in a protected marine area. The military surprised the two in the protected area "Regno di Nettuno" aboard a dinghy while they were free-diving. The Carabinieri seized the 8 spear guns and other underwater tools that the 2 fishermen possessed.

In a wide-ranging operation in Ischia and Procida, the military identified 118 people and checked 62 vehicles.
During the operations, the Carabinieri of the Barano di Ischia station executed a decree of aggravation of the measure by order of the Court of Naples against Manuel Monaco, 33 years old. The man was subject to the measure of probation and was already in prison because he was recently arrested. The man had committed some violations.

The Carabinieri of the Procida station reported a 39-year-old local man for carrying objects capable of offending. The officers caught him on board an E-bike with a modified accelerator and searched him. In his pockets was an 18-centimeter switchblade. The electric bike was seized, and the 39-year-old was also given administrative sanctions.

Two drug users were reported to the prefecture because they were found with small quantities of drugs.
