The Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli station have placed under arrest on suspicion of crimes of mistreatment in the family and personal injury a 44-year-old local man already known to the police.

The investigations of the Carabinieri allowed them to ascertain that the victim had been attacked – in the presence of her minor son – by her husband. The reason for so much violence can be traced back to trivial reasons of jealousy. Also reconstructed are countless episodes of mistreatment and harassment never reported that characterized the last 10 years of the victim's life.
The man had fled but the carabinieri tracked him down late in the evening in Quarto and stopped him. The 44-year-old is in prison while the woman has a 30-day prognosis.
