PNaples Weather Revisions, it will be a Halloween as hot as June: it is the Monster Anticyclone.
Trend: Halloween Monster anticyclone at maximum power; exceptional heat towards the first 'November' in history. In these hours the African anticyclone is expanding, again, from Morocco towards the Balearics bringing a further increase in temperatures between Mediterranean Spain and southern France.
Between Thursday and Friday, the North African anticyclone, called the “Halloween Monster Anticyclone”, will position itself between France, Germany, the Alpine regions and Northern Italy, bringing further warming, especially in the mountains and in inland areas free from any fog: both minimum and maximum temperatures will rise up to 10°C above the average for the period.
Between Sunday and Monday 31 October the Halloween Anticyclone will still be Monster, monstrous, as it will extend over more than half of Europe: the anticyclonic dome will 'suffocate' the Alpine regions, Germany, Benelux, Poland and Czechia with average values of 12°C more than the climate of this period (autumnal two months before Christmas).
We will have a Halloween with typical June conditions in some areas of the continent and in Italy: in Europe the 'strangest', warmest areas will be those of eastern Austria and northern Germany, but also the Baltic Republics and Sweden will experience a historic period.
In Italy, the areas most directly affected by the arrival of the hot North African air will be the northern mountains and central Apennines, but we will also have summer-like values in the plains: Rome will still experience numerous days with highs between 26 and 28°C, in the north we will reach almost 29°C in Liguria and locally 26°C in Valtellina and Val d'Adige: in fact, at times the low hills will heat up more intensely, due to the reduced presence of mist or fog.
And obviously in the South we will oscillate around record values of 30-31°C. This situation will take on the typical characteristics of a very robust and stationary anticyclonic block between Germany and Northern Italy, at least until the end of next week, then probably something will change; it must be said, however, that the projections of 15 days ago had indicated that everything would change at the end of October: instead it is always Summer and the climate is getting warmer and warmer.
