“Punto gi”, the new single by the Paduan singer-songwriter Angelae.
Available from today on the radio, on digital platforms and in all digital stores “Punto gi” (Alka Record Label), the new single by the singer-songwriter from Padua Angelae.
The song, which experiments with electronic sounds and rarefied atmospheres that hark back to 90s trip hop, deals with the theme of the right to choose in matters of sexuality, contraception and motherhood, claiming the freedom of female bodies.
“In “Punto Gi” I wanted to include not only my experience but also that of many other women close to me thanks to whom I was able to grasp the complexity of a much debated topic – declares Angelae – I wish she could be the voice of many other women and many other lives."
Biography
Angela Zanonato, aka Angelae, approached the world of music at the age of 9 through the violin but has always loved singing and has found in singing the instrument that has given her freedom and ease of expression. Instead, she began writing her first lyrics during middle school, driven by the need to tell her story despite a fairly introverted character and has never stopped. The need to be able to bring her songs to the public pushed her in 2018 to self-produce her first album of unreleased songs recorded between Italy and Spain, published in November 2019 by A2 Records from which the first three singles were extracted and published: Quando credo, Ipersensibili and Cade. Anticipated by the single of the same name, “Passi Piccolissimi” is released on CD and digitally on May 21, 2021, the new album produced by Michele Guberti of Massaga Produzioni recorded at the Natural HeadQuarter Studio (FE) for Alka Record Label which in fact marks a clear change in the sound of the project. In May 2022 the song “Le cose che di me non vanno bene” was released, followed by the single “Pungo Gi” which precedes the release of “Sassolini”, a new album scheduled for release in spring 2023.
