Supermarkets and tobacconists in Maddaloni involved in a major citizen income scam. The correspondent of Striscia La Notizia, Luca Abete, reported it in a report made yesterday morning.
The journalist arrived in the city to verify the veracity of some rumors that were circulating about a scam perpetrated by some income earners with the complicity of the merchants. According to what emerged, the yellow card would be used by many as an ATM to obtain cash in exchange for fake transactions carried out at certain commercial activities.
The method used, as reported to Luca Abete, is simple: the recipient goes to a grocery store and pretends to make a transaction, for example, of 100 euros in exchange for cash. The income card is “swiped” for the withdrawal but the goods are never delivered. At that point the cashier or the owner of the business dispenses the sum in cash: but instead of 100 euros only 90.
In this way the merchant obtains two advantages: he earns 10 euros by providing the fraudster with less money than was actually paid with the card and at the same time he can resell the goods that would be the subject of the fake transaction at full price.

The recipient obviously benefits: he gets 90 euros in cash to spend “under the table” and also buy goods that he could not get with the subsidy card. In this fraudulent circuit, there would be not only markets in the Maddalonese area but also tobacconists and other businesses involved.
