The Carabinieri of the operational unit of the Naples – Bagnoli Company have executed the order for house arrest issued by the Court of Napoli at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office against Michele Ortone, a 22-year-old local already known to the police.
The man is considered to be seriously suspected of the crimes of possession of a homemade explosive device, carrying a common firearm and firing gunshots.
The investigations conducted by the Carabinieri and coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office have allowed them to acquire serious evidence of guilt against the suspect in relation to what happened last May 4th when, near a commercial activity of Trajan Avenue, several gunshots were fired into the air.
The event could be traced back to family disagreements that had arisen shortly before between two women, relatives of the suspect in that same commercial premises and, therefore, it is believed that the incident can be traced back to a intent to intimidate.
The immediate investigations by the military also allowed them to find and seize a highly explosive device with offensive potential in the suspect's home.
