Naples, Kvaratskhelia gives the jersey to Georgian fans at the Maradona stadium in the lower sector of the A curve. But someone steals it and runs away. Borrelli and Simioli: “Shameful images sent to the authorities.”
What happened on Saturday at the Maradona stadium is truly shameful. At the end of the match against Sassuolo, the footballer Napoli, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia reached some Georgian fans, his compatriots, in the lower sector of the A curve. There were about a hundred of them with national flags and all dressed in red with the Georgian closed writing.
Before the match, but also after, they made a real procession around the stadium chanting their idol. At the end of the match kvaratskhelia he threw them his game jersey to pay homage to them. From the images filmed by citizens present at the stadium at that moment, and which are now going viral on the web, you can see a person manage to grab that jersey, tear it off to the Georgian supporters, and quickly run away with his 'booty'.
"A truly deplorable and cowardly act. We have sent the images in our possession to the authorities, in which the man's face is clearly visible: we ask that he be identified and that a long Daspo be ordered for him. Certain people who offend the values of sport, respect, loyalty, sharing, do not deserve to frequent our stadium". So says Francesco Emilio Borrelli, regional councilor of Europa Verde and Gianni Simioli, radio speaker.
