An illicit activity brought to light by the Carabinieri of the Vallo della Lucania company who executed a precautionary measure order against three people, a woman and two men (a fourth suspect is currently wanted): the first ended up under house arrest, while the other two were subjected to a ban and the obligation to remain at home.
The investigators hypothesized the existence of a criminal association aimed at committing crimes of aiding and abetting the illegal stay of Moldovan citizens. The suspects, in fact, were accused of making an illicit profit from the recruitment and assignment of foreign women to some families, as caregivers, without a regular residence permit.
In particular, the citizens of Moldovan origin, in groups of an average of 40-50 women, were brought to Italy periodically, aboard buses, to then arrive in Agropoli, where they were sent to work, sorted and accompanied to the various families who, for each employment relationship, paid a fee to the suspects, equal to an average of 200 euros, deducted from the first month's salary paid to the worker.
