Sangiuliano, tomorrow at Croce's house: 'I am his admirer and scholar'. Minister visits Naples.
"Tomorrow I will go to what was the house of Benedetto Croce and which today houses the Italian Institute of Historical Studies because I have always defined myself as an admirer and an admirer, as well as a small scholar of the thought of Benedetto Croce. Tomorrow is also a significant date, we all know that it is October 28, the anniversary of the March on Rome and Benedetto Croce was the author of the manifesto of the anti-fascist intellectuals".
This was stated by the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano in response to questions from RaiNews 24 on his first official public visit to Naples.
"Naples – the minister further underlines – it's my city, I was born next to the National Archaeological Museum which I will revisit tomorrow, after having done so many times: it is one of the greatest testimonies in the world of Magna Graecia".
The minister also reiterates the need not to forget our history and to be aware of Italy's history:“Panta rei, everything flows, history is the flow of ourselves. There is no individual detached from the sediment of his own family history but above all from the national history, we are first and foremost Italians”.
