There is concern among the Penitentiary Police personnel serving in the prison of Secondigliano, in Naples, for the possible arrival of a prisoner suffering from tuberculosis.
The alarm was raised by the Autonomous Union of Penitentiary Police SAPPE. "The man - explains Capece, general secretary of Sappe - is an inmate of the Arienzo prison currently hospitalized at the Cotugno hospital in Naples. He is suffering from a form of bacilliferous tuberculosis in the active phase, particularly aggressive, but it would seem that the man would like to sign the resignation and, therefore, the solution should be to hospitalize them at the Secondigliano health center.
They tell me that there is great concern, not only among the Penitentiary Police staff but also among all the various operators, for possible contagions, even if in these cases isolation is regulated for health reasons. I believe that the best place for him to be is in hospital, to receive effective care in a non-ad hoc place”. “Promiscuity in the cells – Capece underlines – can favor the spread of diseases, especially infectious ones”.
