Blue lines in Boscoreale, the new parking service starts on October 10th. It will mainly concern the streets of the center, between Piazza Vargas and Piazza Pace. The hourly rate and the subscriptions will have low and accessible costs.
The new hourly parking service in the blue lines that will be active starting next October 10 was presented this morning. The initiative was attended by the mayor Antonio Diplomatico, the relevant councilor Luca Giordano and a representative of the company Publiparking, winner of the contract.
"Unlike what you might imagine, the service is designed to protect commercial activities and residents. Unfortunately, there is a problem of wild parking or permanent parking that does not allow citizens to park near shops or the homes of relatives and friends". Councilor Giordano stated, adding: “The rate, accessible to all, is the lowest in the entire district”.
The mayor focused on the relaunch of commerce: "It is our intention to protect local entrepreneurs. Freeing up the spaces occupied for years goes in the direction of being able to allow easier parking for their customers at a negligible cost".
Antonio Diplomatico explained, underlining "the importance of creating conditions so that citizens can move and stay in our city without any kind of problem. Work began a few weeks ago on the new area near Piazza Pace which, we are sure, will give a positive boost to the entire area".
The Publiparking company announced that "during the first days of service, the 5 assistants will inform citizens and explain how the parking meters and apps work, also distributing information brochures. Only after that will they start leaving warnings for parking and, therefore, fines."
What to Expect
There are several new features that will affect residents and non-residents who want to park, in particular, in the city center in the area between Piazza Vergas and Piazza Pace. You will have to pay every day, including holidays, from 9 to 13 and from 16 to 20, with an hourly rate of 60 euro cents, while the minimum is 50 cents.
There are 3 reference areas:
– Zone A: Piazza Vargas/Circumvesuviana
– Zone B1: via Diaz, via Della Rocca, piazza Vargas, via Garibaldi, via Bellini
– Zone B2: via San Felice, via ST Cirillo, piazza Pace, via Papa Giovanni XXIII, via Gramsci, via Matteotti, largo Piccolomini, via Zurlo, via Vittorio Emanuele
Citizens will be able to complete the payment using the parking meters already installed, typing in their car license plate or the number of the space and paying with coins, credit cards or with Ripark, the card distributed by Publiparking. Or, through SMS, or some dedicated apps such as Telepass Pay, Phonzie and Nino.
There will be no need to display the coupon: the parking attendants will be able to verify the regularity of the payment using the handheld devices provided.
There are two types of passes: one for residents (usable only in their respective areas of residence, between areas B1 or B2) and one for commuters (who can park exclusively in the parking lot of the Eav station in Piazza Vargas).
