Theater in Scampia with the Virtuosi di San Severo and Gino Rivieccio for a weekend of music and entertainment.
Weekend of music and theater in Scampia with the concert of the Virtuosi di San Severo (Saturday 8 October at 19 pm at the Hurtado Center) and the show by Gino Rivieccio “Io e Napoli” (Io e Napoli) (Sunday 9 October in the auditorium of the “Giovanni XXIII” institute), for the review “Scampia – Progress through Culture”, organized by Ancem – Association Naples European Capital of Music directed by Filippo Zigante, thanks to the support of the Municipality of Naples, and the moral patronage of the Youth Policies Department of the Municipality of Naples and the Eighth Municipality, and the coordination of schools and territory by Sabrina Innocenti.
The Virtuosi di San Severo quartet, composed of Riccardo Zamuner (first violin), Vincenzo Meriani (second violin), Francesco Fiore (viola) and Ludovica Cordova (cello), will perform music by Ludwig van Beethoven and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
In the recital “Io e Napoli”, Gino Rivieccio retraces his human and artistic history through that visceral and particular bond with Naples. An embrace that reaches the islands and the solfataras of smiles from the city, making the celebration unique and precious but also often the denunciation. An irony and a reflection that go hand in hand, sometimes leaving room for poetry, in a dialectical and pressing succession, as only Rivieccio knows how to do with that warm and biting tone that the Neapolitan comedian has now accustomed us to. All this while praising the great patience of the Neapolitans, always destined to wait for something or someone to improve their condition.
The festival will continue with “The Magical World of Operetta” (Sunday, October 16), the concert “Qualcuno sulla Terra” by Eugenio Bennato (October 21). The November program includes “Unico Viviani” (November 3), “Musica Libera Tutti”, the children’s and youth orchestra of the Hurtado Center (November 5), “Theatricality in Naples – from the 500th to the 700th century” (November 11), “Neapolitan Christmas Songs” (Saturday, November 19) and the duo Marcella Parziale – Giuseppina Coni in “Salotto primo '900” (Saturday, November 26).
