Vittorio Boiocchi, 69, historic leader of Inter ultras, was killed this evening on the street on the outskirts of Milan.
He was hit by several gunshots that hit him in the neck and chest around 19.45:XNUMX p.m., in via Fratelli Zanzottera, in the Figino neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. Transported in desperate conditions to the San Carlo hospital, he died in the emergency room. What appears to be an ambush occurred shortly before the start of the Nerazzurri's home game against Sampdoria.
After the news broke, Inter's Curva Nord remained silent, not displaying banners or singing during the match against their opponents at San Siro, then the Boys left the stands – the second tier – during half-time.
Boiocchi lived a life practically between prison and the stadium, his great passion. Several definitive convictions collected over time: robbery, drug trafficking and kidnapping. He had spent over 26 years in prison, the last time he was arrested in 2021 by the Milanese Flying Squad who are now investigating his murder.
He had also been hit by a five-year ban following the clashes that took place after Inter-Napoli in 2018, the occasion in which the Varese ultra Dede Belardinelli died. Last May, the Court of Cassation rejected his appeal, which is why he had to stay two kilometers from the stadium during matches.
The Flying Squad, led by Marco Calì, had arrested him, as mentioned, in 2021 after surprising him on board a car with a gun, a knife, handcuffs, a taser and a Guardia di Finanza vest, all material that later turned out to be equipment for committing extortion.
Boiocchi has always been respected by the fans of the North Curve
In the world of the North Curve of Inter ultras, Boiocchi's figure has always been respected. In 2019, after about 26 years in prison, he returned to the stadium, and the ultras dedicated a chant to him. A tribute that an old friend of his, Franchino Caravita, had considered an affront, to the point that the confrontation between the two ended in punches and it was Caravita who was the one who received the punches.
It had seemed like the beginning of a breakup, but instead the two had quickly reassured the fans by posting a photo together from Boiocchi's hospital bed, who in the meantime had suffered a heart attack.
