Last appointment with the Torchiara Story Festival. From 18 pm on Sunday 9 October, the eighth edition ends.

From 18 pm on Sunday 9 October, the eighth edition of the Torchiara Story Festival, organized by the Matteo and Claudina de Stefano Foundation, which has been working in the service of the territory for over forty years, will conclude.

Also for the second and final day, leading figures from the cultural scene will meet at the Palazzo Baronale de Conciliis, where the absolute protagonist of the Salotto delle Storie will be women with all their extraordinary nuances, as a common thread between art, literature and social issues.

In tracing the lines of the battle for his own affirmation, on the occasion of the centenary of Pier Paolo Pasolini's birth, we will retrace his female portraits, comparing them with the "filthy, agitated and criminal" women that the system, between 1850 and 1950, distanced from society, to be interned. Stories of real and imaginary women, in the insights of Candida Carrino, director of the Historical Archive of Naples and Natascia Festa, journalist of the Corriere del Mezzogiorno, enriched by the readings of passages interpreted by the actor Pier Luigi Iorio.

And, again, the theatrical experience set up in the municipal space Piazza Forcella, the setting for episodes of freedom and courage, will be recounted, with testimonies from mothers, daughters and warrior “actresses” of a neighborhood as passionate as it is difficult.

The end of the narration will be entrusted to the screening of some fragments extracted from the documentary film and the comments of Marina Rippa, artistic director of the group f.pl. femminile plurale, the art director and film editor Isabella Mari, with Alfonso Sarno, journalist of Il Mattino.

This evening will also end with tastings of local wines and Cilento products. Admission is free.
