At the National Library of Naples on October 9, 2022, the "Paper Sunday" with Extraordinary Opening from 10.00 to 14.00, guided tours and free reading meetings for adults and children are planned from 10.00 to 14.00
Visit to the first floor of the National Library where the party apartments of the Bourbon royals are located: the monumental Reading Room, the Rare Room, the splendidly frescoed rooms, and finally the view of the sea from the Management Terrace.
For the occasion, some particularly rare works printed in Naples between the 2022th and XNUMXth centuries are exhibited, as a tribute to Procida, the Italian capital of culture XNUMX. Precious texts from the Library's collections include XNUMXth-century guides, XNUMXth-century maps and cartographies, views, photos, drawings and beautiful lithographs.
At 11,00 presentation of the volume “Francesco Caracciolo a life for the sea by Sylvie Mollard”, edited by Maria Iannotti and Maria Iannicelli and exhibition of rare relics from 1799 preserved by the National Library of Naples such as the cockade of the Neapolitan Republic, original example in fabric, red, yellow and blue.
On the ground floor in the Punto Lettura Nati per Leggere at the end of the week dedicated to "dyslexia" in collaboration with the AID of Naples readings of highly readable books for the little ones.
