Crashes into level crossing, blocks train traffic

Rail traffic blocked along the Naples-Caserta line this morning because a driver hit the level crossing and blocked train traffic.

This is what happened this morning along the railway line between Caserta and Naples, on the stretch between Cancello and Acerra. Shortly after 8 am, train traffic was blocked after a vehicle damaged a level crossing and forced the Railways technicians to intervene to restore safety conditions.

Trains only started running again shortly before 9am, but in the meantime 40 regional trains had already been delayed by up to 12 minutes, while another 8 were cancelled.
