Moà from Terni wins the 18th “Premio Bianca d'Aponte”, the competition for female singer-songwriters held at the Cimarosa theatre in Aversa on 28 and 29 October. She also received a mention for best text.
The “Fausto Mesolella” Critics’ Award (historical artistic director of the event) was instead won by Jole da Savona.
The jury's mention for best music goes to Fefe from Bolzano, and for best interpretation to Jungle J. Anne from Grosseto.
The overall winner will receive the Bianca d'Aponte Award, with a scholarship of 1.000 euros, participation as a guest in the next edition of the Award, three presentation concerts produced by Doc Live and the possibility of participating in the Premio dei Premi del Mei in Faenza. The Critics' Award "Fausto Mesolella" will receive a scholarship of 800 euros and participation as a guest in the Nilla Pizzi Award that will take place at the Teatro Bibiena in Sant'Agata Bolognese on November 19.
Many collateral prizes were awarded directly by members of the juries and by entities close to the Bianca d'Aponte Award.
Jole received two other awards: the “Premio 'Na stella” (title of a song by Mesolella) from Virus Studio, with the recording of a song with the artistic production of Ferruccio Spinetti, and the one from Soundinside Basement Records, consisting in the production of a live video in the studio.
Fefe and Giorgia Canton from Verona win a proposal for one year of legal and managerial assistance from Siedas.
For Assia Fiorillo from Naples there is the proposal of a possible artistic collaboration with the label Suoni dall'Italia of Mariella Nava, while the female label “Maieutica Dischi” of Veronica Marchi (winner of the first edition of the Award) offers the production and publication of a song to Lula from Rome.
Finally, to Angelae from Padua, Dcave records of the artistic producer Daniele Grasso offers the complete production of a three-track EP.
Also competing were Candeo from Milan, Lamo, also from Milan, and Alessandra Nicita from Lecce.
In addition to the contest finalists, important artists from the Italian music scene took to the stage, such as Niccolò Fabi, Simona Molinari, Raiz, Pacifico, Isotta (who, as the winner of the 2021 edition, opened both evenings), Giuseppe Barbera, Piero Fabrizi and Kaballà.
With them was also Grazia Di Michele, in the role of godmother, a role for which she presided over the general jury and sang “Respira piano”, a song by Bianca d'Aponte, the singer-songwriter to whom the event is dedicated.
And then two artists who were also awarded: Paola Pitagora, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of the City of Aversa, and the Cuban Sorah Rionda, who received the Bianca d'Aponte International Award, in collaboration with the Andrea Parodi Award of Cagliari.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the presence on the Cimarosa stage of a group of students from the Cirillo classical and musical high school in Aversa who paid homage to Bianca d'Aponte by performing her song “Clessidra”.
Some of the finalists and guests will be accompanied by the resident band directed by Alessandro Crescenzo.
The artistic direction of the Award is by Ferruccio Spinetti, while the conduction was entrusted to Daniela Esposito and Ottavio Nieddu. Rai Radio 1 is the official media partner.
During the evenings, the compilation of the 18th edition of the Award was available, which the public could receive in exchange for an offering at the Emergency table, to which all proceeds will be donated.
The main prizes were decided by two juries, a general one and a critics' one.
