Walter Schiavone attacked a prison police officer at the Milan Opera prison over a can of bleach
. For this reason Walter Schiavone, 61 years old brother of the Casalesi clan leader Francesco Schiavone Sandokan, was accused of resisting and injuring a public official.
The incident occurred 6 days ago inside the Milanese prison of Opera, when Schiavone complained that the officer had given him only one of the two packages of bleach that he himself had requested and paid for. The inmate then hit the prison guard in the neck and ear, brandishing a broom and yelling "I'll break the club on your head".

Accusations that prompted the Prosecutor's Office to request a custodial order for Schiavone. However, GIP Alessandra Di Fazio rejected the request. As explained in the provision, this decision was made because the 61-year-old has already been detained under a harsh prison regime "for years, having been sentenced to life imprisonment" and "the fact in question today is of modest importance".
