Illegal waste dumpers have no scruples and nothing can deter them from their wicked intentions.
Even green areas are not spared from their wicked actions, which, on the contrary, represent 'safe' places in which to dump even dangerous materials, far from prying eyes. It happens then that the hermitage of Camaldoli is dotted with illegal mini landfills.
The Soccavo detachment of the Italian Agroforestry Guard reported this and contacted the Regional Councillor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli:

“Councillor, we wanted to keep you informed of an issue that has been plaguing the Collina dei Camaldoli since this summer, the entrance located on the side of Via Contieri in Soccavo. We need video traps and much more severe penalties for dumpers, especially when it comes to dangerous materials.”
