They hid in their home in the municipality of Castiglione del Genovesi, in the province of Salerno, 1,2 kilos of marijuana, 12 grams of hashish, material for weighing and packaging the drug, as well as the sum of 1.100 euros divided into banknotes of various denominations.
The Carabinieri of San Cipriano Picentino, assisted by the Carabinieri Dog Unit of Sarno, discovered everything and arrested the father and son. Sabato Landi and his son Gaetano ended up in handcuffs, accused of possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
Giovanni Coppola, on the other hand, was arrested for the crime of illegal possession of a firearm: in his home in San Mango Piemonte, he was found in possession of a semi-automatic pistol, of clandestine origin.
He also had 100 7.65 and 6.35 caliber bullets. The weapon, in perfect working order and with a round in the chamber, was hidden under a pile of wood.
