This is the tragedy that occurred late Thursday evening in via del Mare in Castel Volturno, in the Fontana Blu area, where a man of about 40 years old lost his life. Alerted 118, the health workers could do nothing but confirm the man's death.

The men of the local police station and the Caserta Police Headquarters' flying squad are investigating the case. It is possible that the victim fell accidentally or that he may have made an extreme gesture to get back at his partner who had alerted 113. The judiciary has ordered the seizure of the body for an autopsy. The medical-legal examinations will establish the causes of death.
