After the successful start marked by the debut of “Una storia per Euridice”, the theatrical season of the Teatro Tram in via Port'Alba in Naples is in full swing: the second show on the bill will also be an absolute debut, created with the support of the theater directed by Mirko Di Martino in the heart of the old city center: “È tutta colpa della luna” directed by Francesco Luongo, an exciting journey through music and words of philosophers, writers, poets, in search of what unites and divides lovers.
From Thursday 3rd (debut at 19pm) to Sunday 6th November, a young and talented cast will be on stage: the bodies and voices of Chiara Barassi, Sonia Totaro, Francesco Luongo.
“On earth there are no two equal individuals, so for a man there will always be only one woman who truly completes him; however, the probability of meeting her is almost zero”Schopenhauer said it and the thought that gives life to “It's all the moon's fault” to tell stories of tragic and announced failures, which chase each other, collide and overlap in a transversal and dilated temporal dimension.
The show is an open and desperate prayer on the disturbances, on the obsessions, on the sleepless nights spent longing for a touch, a sigh from the loved one or it is a desire to escape, for lack of air, for sad and resigned abandonment. And in the end what remains is the wound. A wound inflicted, exposed, narrated. A wound that struggles to heal, like the burn of a lit cigarette on white skin.
On stage three bodies, three voices, three muffled cries grappling with verses and words that tell of broken and heartbreaking loves. Of badly consummated revenge; of corrupt and corrosive jealousies; of unattainable forgiveness. These are forced genuflections, inevitable in the face of the shock of a love, damaged, broken, sick: the awareness of a redemption without guilt, of a condemnation “in the end never punishment” of a fractured heart.
“Our moon – explains the director Francesco Luongo – it is the desire for a shared catharsis. It is the desire to lose oneself in the smoke of a lit incense, among music that tells like a silent beat the meaning of an ancient prayer. It is the search for a compass to recognize a certain path. The show is a carpet of white petals told through the enlightened poetics of the voices of women and men, philosophers, singers of the craziest, unbearable and desperate feeling that exists”.
