More magistrates in the surveillance offices. This is provided for by the ministerial decree signed by the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordius, following up on the provisions of the budget law of 30 December 2021.
The measure establishes an expansion of the staffing of 21 units of the surveillance offices, located in 15 districts, in response to the needs repeatedly expressed by the category and is part of the broader increase in the staffing of the ordinary judiciary, totaling 82 units.
Of these 21 are intended for surveillance with this ministerial decree; 2 are dedicated to the delegated European prosecutors and the remaining ones to the international protection sector, to be distributed with a subsequent ministerial decree.
The districts affected are: Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Cagliari, Catania, Genoa, L'Aquila, Messina, Milan, Naples, Palermo Reggio Calabria, Rome, Turin and Venice.
