In a note released at the end of a new meeting at the Mimit, the two organizations of the managers underline however that many critical issues remain and that the decision was taken to favor the citizens. The distributors will therefore reopen as early as this evening.
The joint press release from Fegica and Figisc/Anisa
“While acknowledging that we were able to interact constructively with the ministry that has made every effort to become a proactive interlocutor”, the press release underlines, “the meeting confirmed the persistence of many critical issues”.
“Even this latest attempt to remedy a situation that is now worn out has failed to highlight any concrete element that could even allow us to imagine interventions on the very serious problems of the sector and structural containment of prices”.
“The amendment proposals put forward by the Government his own decree does not remove the manifest intention to identify petrol station attendants as the recipients of confusing, counterproductive and clearly accusatory obligations".
“It now appears clear that any attempt to advise the Government reasonableness and concreteness cannot or does not want to be collected. For this reason, even insisting on continuing the strike action, used to obtain a hearing from the Government, no longer has any reason to exist".
“Even more so since one of the fundamental objectives, namely to re-establish the truth after the false and unreasonable accusations against a category of workers, has been abundantly achieved. Italian citizens have perfectly understood”.
"It is, therefore, to them, to the citizens that the petrol station attendants are addressing, certainly not to the Government, revoking the second day of strike already proclaimed, eliminating any possible further inconvenience, at this point completely useless. The distributors will therefore reopen as early as this evening".
“The debate at this point moves to Parliament where the petrol station owners have already started a series of meetings with all the parliamentary groups so that the text of the so-called transparency decree collects the necessary changes during the conversion stage”.
