“For me, music for images represents a unique vehicle to express and above all evoke emotional atmospheres. I chose to compose music of this kind because I am a creative and a dreamer, in this way I can travel in my dreams through music”.

Piermaria Cecchini’s directorial debut, “Ma tu, mi vuoi bene?”, has just been released in theaters. It is a dramatic film that tells the story of Lorenzo, a successful young manager who begins an introspective journey to try to find an answer to his many doubts about himself.

And, in parallel, the film's soundtrack, written by composer Claudio Luongo, is also being released.

"The film directed by Pier Maria Cecchini is a journey that each of us sooner or later is forced to take to know and recognize ourselves, the screenplay is based on the novel of the same name by Marco Tregioli and traces the path of the protagonist in his inner world. With the music I consequently tried to draw and express that inner world that can hardly be expressed with other artistic forms”.

A composer known for his works on TV (we remember the theme song for the program “Sereno variabile”, broadcast on Rai 2), Claudio Luongo collaborates with various directors to whom he provides his musical support.

“I worked a lot on documentaries, especially with the director Riccardo Barbieri with whom I found over time an artistic understanding as often happens between a director and a musician, but also with Pier Maria Cecchini, Alessandro Ingargiola, Pino Nazio, Luca Morsella, Alessandro di Majo, and I always followed the intentions and poetics of each of them without ever forcing my point of view”.

Released by Aventino Music, the music features contributions from musicians Claudio Scozzafava on guitars, Franco Scozzafava on violin and Riccardo Luongo on saxophone.

Mixed by Claudio Scozzafava and mastered by Dario Giuffrida.
