On Monday, February 13, at 7:00 p.m., the auditorium of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples will host a national preview screening of the film “Da domani mi alzo tardi” by Stefano Veneruso (director, producer, and screenwriter), inspired by the life of his uncle, Massimo Troisi.

Freely adapted from the novel of the same name in which Anna Pavignano recalls her love story with Massimo Troisi, the film, which stars actors John Lynch (in the role of Massimo) and Gabriella Pession (in the role of Anna), imagines Troisi at a mature age that, unfortunately, fate did not allow him to experience.

In the spirit of an eternal artistic partnership that transcends human boundaries, the feature film is enriched by an unreleased song sung by Pino Daniele, linked to Massimo by a deep friendship. The initiative is organized in collaboration with the MANN and the Film Commission Regione Campania. For the occasion, after the success of the exhibition “Il Postino dietro le quinte.

The Faces of Massimo Troisi”, conceived by the nephew of the Neapolitan actor and financed by the Campania Region as part of Procida Capitale della Cultura 2022, some works exhibited on the island will be transferred to the MANN, where they will remain on display until April 13. The film aims to be a tribute to one of the greatest and most beloved Italian artists on the anniversary of the actor's birth, to celebrate Troisi's 70th birthday, which falls on February 19.

Produced by 30MILES FILM and Barbara Di Mattia, in co-production with RAI Cinema Spa and AN.TRA.CINE Srl, a production company of the Angeloni group, with the contribution of the Campania Region, the Film Commission Regione Campania and the MIC, the film will be released in cinemas on Tuesday 14 February and from the same day, “Il mio verbo migliore è evitare” will be on sale in bookstores, a journey into the artistic and personal life of Massimo Troisi, a tribute in words and images – many of which are unpublished and from the family's private archive – written by his nephew Stefano and published by Rizzoli (Mondadori group).
