Francesco Emilio Borrelli , who cites several reports in the last few hours, reports that "several shops, according to reports, are selling various items of clothing designed to look like Messina Denaro ," writes the Green Left MP.

"An aberrant, hair-raising phenomenon ," he continues. " How can anyone even think of imitating or idolizing a bloodthirsty boss who caused the deaths of hundreds of people? A disrespectful gesture toward all the victims of the mafia and their families."
"What should be a cause for shame is instead becoming a trend, it's absurd. This case, however, explains why the boss remained hidden in his native Sicily for decades without ever being identified, covered by a segment of the population that staunchly supports the mafia and organized crime in general ," he concludes.
