Hundreds of people took part in the event organised by the MP on Sunday morning Francesco Emilio Borrelli, from the host of La Radiazza Gianni Simioli and the Massimiliano Rosati of Gambrinus, in Piazza Trieste e Trento, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the great Massimo Troisi.

For the occasion, a dessert made specifically in memory of Troisi by Gambrinus called 'Abbraccio' was distributed free of charge. A cartoon dedicated to the day was also created, designed by the artist Luca Carnevale. And in 'honor' of the name of this dessert dedicated to him, those present physically hugged each other to remember the artist.

“He liked to hug people. He needed human warmth,” said Alfredo Cozzolino, an old friend of Massimo Troisi, who explained the origin of the name of the dessert dedicated to him.

And this morning in San Giorgio a Cremano, Troisi's hometown, the municipal administration left a memorial at the cemetery. “We want to testify that Troisi was not only from San Giorgio a Cremano or Naples, he was from the whole world. Troisi is a way of being, a person who was not only a great artist, but a great man, a moral, ethical and cultural point of reference”, said the mayor Giorgio Zinno.

“Massimo should be a constant for those who live in this area. There is certainly sadness for the very short passage of an immense talent on earth. Think how much more he could have told about Naples. The presence of hundreds of people at an event dedicated to him shows us that, almost 30 years after his death, his memory is still alive and clear in our community. And it should always be this way, even for the new generations”, said Simioli and Borrelli.

The actress was also present at the event Cloris Brosca, Gerardo Ferrara who was Troisi's counter figure in "The Postman", the director Alessandro Bencivenga and the deputy mayor of San Giorgio a Cremano Pietro De Martino, the councilor of the I Municipality Blessed Sciannimanica, the councilor of the I Municipality Lorenzo Pascucci.
