Over the last few days, the Carabinieri of the Mondragone Territorial Department, assisted by the military of the dependent Stations of Castel Volturno and Castel Volturno Pinetamare, have carried out a coordinated territorial control service that has allowed them to proceed with the arrest of five people.
In Castel Volturno, in the Pinetamare area, in a private residential complex, the military arrested a twenty-five-year-old from Naples living in Castel Volturno, held responsible for the production, trafficking and illicit possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances and the carrying of a blank-firing pistol without justification.
The man, following a house search, was found in possession of 32 heat-sealed cellophane packages containing hashish for a total weight of 43,81 grams, 21 packages containing cocaine for a total weight of 11,37 grams, 11 packages containing marijuana for a total weight of 16,44 grams and a blank-firing pistol.
The drug was found inside a purse that the man was hiding in his jacket pocket. The arrested man was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
In the continuation of the checks carried out in Castel Volturno, the Carabinieri executed the order to revoke the alternative measure of house arrest with subsequent imprisonment, issued by the surveillance office of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere against a fifty-four-year-old from Caivano, already subjected to the measure of house arrest for aggravated fraud in competition, crimes committed in Paceco (TP) in 2019.
The man was reached by today's provision following violations of the provisions imposed by the pre-existing measure. The arrested person was accompanied to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, by order of the competent judicial authority.
In the same center, the Carabinieri executed an order of imprisonment for concurrent sentences issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere - Criminal Enforcement Office, against a thirty-seven-year-old local man found guilty of the unlawful exercise of gambling or betting activities, continued and in competition.
A further arrest was carried out in the same municipality in execution of the order of imprisonment with a simultaneous provision of suspension and continuation of detention under house arrest, issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office - Ordinary Court of Naples, against a twenty-six year old resident in Castel Volturno.
The man, already subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest, was sentenced to serve the residual sentence of 10 months of imprisonment, since he was found guilty of illegal possession and carrying of weapons or parts thereof in a public place or open to the public in complicity and production, trafficking, illicit possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances in complicity and continued over time, of importing, exporting, purchasing, receiving for any reason or in any case illegally possessing narcotic substances in complicity and continued over time and of using money, goods or utilities of illicit origin.
The latest arrest made in Castel Volturno saw a thirty-eight-year-old resident in that center end up in handcuffs. The woman was reached by an order of imprisonment issued by the surveillance office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere because she was found guilty of attempted robbery, aggravated theft and theft of seized items, as well as drug dealing. All crimes committed in the province of Pescara in 2019. The arrested woman was accompanied to the Lauro prison by order of the competent judicial authority.
