Yesterday evening the Falcons of the Flying Squad, while passing through Piazza Municipio on the corner of Via Cristoforo Colombo, noticed a car with two people on board, whose driver, after having pulled up alongside a van, threw a stone hitting the rear part of the vehicle.
The officers, after seeing the two motorists get out of their cars and arguing heatedly, approached for a check but the driver of the car, at the sight of them, got back behind the wheel of the vehicle and drove away in the direction of San Giovanni where he was stopped by another patrol of the Falcons and found in possession of numerous stones of various sizes.
Furthermore, the officers ascertained that the man driving the van, after hearing a noise coming from the back of the car, had been approached by the driver of the car who, claiming that his vehicle had been damaged, had asked him for money as compensation.
A 49-year-old from Afragola with a criminal record was arrested for attempted fraud.
