A card that encourages rewards in separate waste collection is ready to be delivered to over 57 thousand Salernitans.

The "A Card for Success" initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Salerno and its subsidiary, Salerno Pulita. With the card, which is associated with each family's TARI household account number, you can access the Fratte and Arechi municipal waste collection centers to drop off materials, without having to register each time.

In addition, with the card you can receive a six-month supply of paper bags to dispose of paper and cardboard, but you can also collect, from special dispensers, after having disposed of objects to be recycled, the two-month supply of transparent plastic bags for the collection of non-differentiable and multi-material, which will have specific barcodes printed on them associated with the individual cards.

And then, you get points based on the materials delivered to the collection centers. These points, by registering on the site www.promoshops.it, can be accumulated with those issued by commercial businesses and service companies in the city, which adhere or will adhere to the Promoshops circuit, to receive the prizes provided in the catalog for members.

"We have started a virtuous path and are getting closer to citizens", underlines, to AGI, the sole director of Salerno Pulita Vincenzo Bennet, explaining that "Citizens who deliver their waste to the recycling center will be able to collect multi-material waste, non-recyclable waste, and paper bags."

"But, above all, as a novelty - highlights the manager - They will have the opportunity to collect points that will allow them to redeem prizes upon reaching certain goals. The points will be commensurate with the quantity of material delivered.

Initially, the card will only be available for use at the Fratte and Arechi recycling centers., Bennet specifies, announcing that "For those who can't leave their homes and can't get to Fratte or Arechi, we're already planning mobile recycling centers to allow everyone in the neighborhood to pick up bags, collect waste paper bags, and, most importantly, earn points for prizes."

At a meeting at the City Hall this morning, Bennet, Salerno Mayor Vincenzo Napoli, and Environmental Policy Councilor Massimiliano Natella thanked the people of Salerno for their commitment to separating and disposing of waste correctly.

In 2022, in fact, the Campania provincial capital achieved the regulatory target of 65% waste separation, and this positive trend has improved in recent months. "In the last two months - notes the mayor - we have settled at around 73% of separate waste collection. We are rapidly climbing back up, returning to our original positions”.

"As the Municipality of Salerno, together with our subsidiary Salerno Pulita, we are doing a very important job and the results are visible", adds Naples, assuring that "We will further improve our waste separation and street sweeping practices."
