It all started with a report from some boaters, who highlighted how construction work was underway near the cliffs that characterize the area's reef. The Torre del Greco Harbor Master's Office intervened immediately and, under the operational coordination of the Marine Environmental Control Center of the Campania Maritime Directorate, proceeded with the inspection.
In particular, the military confirmed the illegal construction of an excavation in the rock overlooking the sea, with a concrete pouring capable of irreparably modifying the natural state of the places, obviously without any landscape, building and environmental authorization.
Following the investigations, officials and judicial police officers reported the co-owners of the area to the judicial authorities and placed the entire area, approximately 130 square meters, under seizure.
All the equipment (including a cement mixer and a tracked vehicle), the materials and the processing waste also ended up under lock and key.
