The International Study Days are inaugurated at Federico II on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the death of Luigi Vanvitelli.
On February 28, 2023, at 9:3 a.m., the event "Luigi Vanvitelli: language and technique" will begin in the Aula Magna of the Department of Architecture at the University of Naples Federico II, located in Palazzo Gravina, Via Monteoliveto XNUMX.
Promoted jointly by the Interdepartmental Research Center for Architectural and Environmental Heritage and for Urban Planning (BAP) and the Interdepartmental Research Center on the Iconography of the European City (CIRICE), both of the University of Naples Federico II, together with the Neapolitan Province of the Congregation of the Mission of St. Vincent de Paul-Casa dei Vergini, the initiative is curated by Alfredo Buccaro, Alessandro Castagnaro, Andrea Maglio, and Fabio Mangone.
The proceedings will begin with greetings from Matteo Lorito, Rector of the Federico II University, Tiziana Maffei, Director of the Royal Palace of Caserta, Michelangelo Russo, Director of DiARC, Fabio Mangone, DiARC Coordinator, Andrea Maglio, Director of BAP, Alfredo Buccaro, CIRICE Project Manager, and Alessandro Castagnaro, Delegate of the University of Naples Federico II for the Vanvitelli Celebrations, Governor of Rotary District 2101.

The event is part of the initiatives organized by the Royal Palace of Caserta with the involvement of the Universities of Campania and various associations, including Rotary International.
The Study Days will take place at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II in Palazzo Gravina, Via Monteoliveto 3, on February 28th and March 2nd (Architecture Library Hall), and on the morning of March 51st at the monumental complex of the Vincentian Fathers, Via dei Vergini XNUMX. This will be followed in the afternoon by an organized visit to the Vanvitellian building of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
