The documentary (Italy, 2022, 90′) is a physical but also ideal journey from North to South of Italy to tell the story of Franco Battiato and his influence on the culture of our country through exceptional witnesses who restore the history and personality of Battiato, a genius of Italian music. A story that, between art and memory, pays homage to the history of the musician and his historic album 'La Voce del Padrone' and celebrates the moral and aesthetic legacy of a unique singer-songwriter as well as an intellectual of great caliber. The film – produced by RS Productions and ITsART – features the participation of numerous personalities. They are singers, artists, critics, record producers, composers, journalists and many other exponents of the world of music, entertainment and culture who have known or worked with Battiato: among the many Carmen Consoli, Caterina Caselli, Corrado Fortuna, Paolo Buonvino, Mara Maionchi, Vincenzo Mollica, Nanni Moretti, Morgan, Oliviero Toscani, Corrado Fortuna.

"Franco Battiato was and will remain a unique artist from many points of view that Stefano Senardi's presence helps to frame under different aspects: human, artistic, friendly, intimate. A physical and spiritual journey is what Senardi takes and accompanying him we find amazing personalities of Italian and international entertainment who, for the first time, elaborate in front of the camera a reflection on why and how they were also protagonists of Battiato's work and life". From the notes of director Marco Spagnoli.
