Lawyer interviewing client in prison found in possession of 400 grams of hashish and a cell phone: both arrested.
On 17 February 2023, personnel from the Penitentiary Police of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Prison executed an order issued by the GIP at the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere at the request of this Prosecutor's Office with which the precautionary measure was applied against a lawyer of the Court of Napoli and of his client, the latter detained for other crimes in the Sammarinese penitentiary.
The investigation activity began when, immediately after the conversation between the lawyer and the prisoner inside the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere in the room intended for conversations between the detainees and their lawyers, the latter, subjected to a thorough personal search, was found in possession of four blocks of approximately 100 grams each of a drug of the “Hashish” type, a micro cell phone with SIM card and charger with cable hidden on his person.

Further investigations were subsequently carried out, following which the precautionary measure was issued.
The lawyer and the prisoner, who are to be considered innocent until a final sentence is reached, were subjected to the precautionary measures of house arrest and prison custody respectively.
